My SO works with a girl that was riding with a group last summer and one guy in the group started weaving all over the road. He pulled the bike over to a stop. He had been hit in the eye with a June bug (they have really hard shells) and lost his eye! They flagged down a passing car and rushed him to the hospital. He didn't have any eye protection at all.
Did you ever find out how a bolt came at you?
